La France et Moi
Anaya's Journey in Lille, France
A Month of Experiences
Learning Culture and Language
In Spring 2019, I spent a month in the city of Lille, France. This month of classes was the final thing I needed to finish my French Major and in turn, allow me to finish my college career in 4 years. In spring of 2020, I will be graduating with degrees in Anthropology and French, along with Certificates in Indigenous Studies and, with this webiste presentation, Global Scholarship.
During this month abroad in France, I experienced a lot of firsts, such as plane and train rides, and learned a lot about the language and culture of Lille, as well as about myself. The goals of this trip were to:
Improve my French (Obviously)
Learn the culture hands-on
Meet people from around the world
Discover things about myself
All of the above can be read about in the blog section in detail. In that section I explore various topics about learning language and culture, and what that ultimately means for me in the future.
